9954 Ah, the 1950's, where everyone thought the nuclear power could be used for anything. In this film, we probably see the most ridiculous in it's potential uses, EXCAVATING! Yes boys and girls, the government was actually thinking of using the bomb to clear bothersome rock, make another Panama Canal and helping the world by blowing up 5-6 bombs AT A TIME to get rid of rock. This film of course, poo-poos the subject of radiation, stating that very little radiation "goes into the atmosphere". Yeah, it just stays in the ground, waiting to seep out in the many mining projects or the water sources the government were proposing.
